Adduction

Two behaviors are taught separately to the horse. Once learned, cues for both behaviors are given simultaneously to create a new behavior.

Here's an example from Katherine Bartlett that shows two different cues and how her horse can discriminate between the two. A hand target (open hand) and a leg lift. She started by cueing each one separately and then asking her mare to do them both at the same time.
